On October 13th 2nd Street was recently reopened by Mayor Abramson and the decorative lighting under the bridge was turned on.

On behalf of Louisville Metro, and Jim Welch, Chairman of the Downtown Development Corporation managed the design and construction of the formerly dark, uninviting area. Now it serves as a gateway and gathering point for arena functions, events and daily activities.
